Rusty's only top 10 Country hit came way back in 1953 with 'Gambler's Guitar' which reached high in the Pop charts as well. He straddled the line between Pop, Country and Rock 'n Roll and had hits with songs such as 'Are You Satisfied', 'Freight Train', 'Mule Skinner Blues', 'Night Life' and others.
Here Dusty gives a fine version of the old Cowboy Copas, Bob Atcher, Texas Jim Robertson and Jimmy Wakely hit versions from 1948. George Morgan and Lefty Frizzell also recorded the song and Cowboy Copas repeated his 1948 hit again in 1961. Nowadays Rusty is virtually a forgotten name with very little product available, but with the copyrights time span running out more of music should become available in the near future.
